Work offline and sync later
Prerequisites
Section titled “Prerequisites”- Open the project before you go offline.
- Ensure local edits are possible in your current project state/backing (for example private browser-backed, private folder-backed, or published with local copy).
- Check your current sync/collaboration status before disconnecting.
- Continue editing while offline.
- In shared projects, watch for Connecting/Offline status changes in the collaboration indicator.
- Avoid risky refactors until connection recovers.
- Reconnect and wait for sync to return to a healthy state.
- Reopen key files and confirm your local changes are still present.
- Review comments/version surfaces to confirm remote state has caught up.
Verification
Section titled “Verification”- Local edits remain after reconnect.
- Collaboration/sync status returns to healthy.
- Shared metadata surfaces (comments/history) repopulate after reconnection.
If Something Goes Wrong
Section titled “If Something Goes Wrong”- Edits appear local-only after reconnect
- Wait for sync to settle, then refresh affected files and check Sync and offline.
- Collaboration remains disconnected
- Reopen the project and verify membership/role status in Real-time collaboration.
- Storage behavior is confusing after reconnect
- Confirm whether the workspace is private browser-backed, private folder-backed, or published in Storage and privacy.
