Set up your layout and preferences

  • Open a project in the editor so panel changes are visible.
  • Keep at least one file open so you can validate panel and editor behavior.
  • Sign in if you want to update profile fields in Preferences.
  1. In the header, use the three panel toggle buttons to show or hide the left sidebar, bottom output panel, and right sidebar.
  2. Open the right sidebar and switch between AI Chat, Comments, and Version History as needed.
  3. Drag panel dividers to set your preferred widths and heights.
  4. Open Settings (gear icon), then choose Preferences.
  5. In General, set language, startup behavior, and delete-confirmation behavior.
  6. In Editor, set Auto Save, floating comments visibility, and Visual Editor Toolbar mode.
  7. In Available AI Models, enable models you want available in the chat model picker.
  8. Set theme from Settings using Light, Dark, or System.
  9. Open Shortcuts from Settings and review the current keybindings.
  10. Reopen the app and confirm your settings and layout state persist.
  11. For non-DOCX files, Titan currently does not expose a Preferences path to set a default editor font family; font-family controls are DOCX-toolbar controls, not a global source-editor preference.
  12. Toggle the preview pane from the editor tab bar using Show Preview / Hide Preview, or use Mod+Shift+V from code mode.
  • Panel visibility and sizes persist in your session state after reload.
  • Reopening Preferences shows your updated General/Editor values.
  • Theme remains on your selected option across sessions.
  • Shortcuts dialog opens from Settings and lists available shortcuts.
  • A pane disappeared and won’t come back
  • Re-toggle it from header panel controls, then reselect the intended tab in Workspace tour.
  • Preferences won’t open
  • Check that you are in dashboard/editor UI with settings access and retry from the gear menu.
  • Settings reset after refresh
  • Check browser storage permissions and retry. Preferences and theme persistence depend on local storage.
  • Model settings do not appear
  • Open Available AI Models and verify provider setup in Settings and preferences.
