Create or open your first project

  • Open the dashboard so you can use New project or Open from computer.
  • For Open folder, use a Chromium browser. Titan gates File System Access support to Chromium and blocks unsupported browsers.
  • Have a local folder ready if you plan to open existing files from disk.
  1. Click New project from the dashboard cards, pick a preset, and click Let’s start.
  2. Wait for the new workspace to open. New projects start as Private in browser-backed storage unless you later move them to a folder or publish to cloud.
  3. Confirm files appear in the file tree in File workspace.
  4. To open existing disk content instead, click Open from computer.
  5. In the dialog, choose Open folder for linked local-folder editing or Import files to copy files into browser storage.
  6. If you chose Open folder, complete the directory picker. Titan creates a linked local project and navigates to it.
  7. Open one file and confirm editing works.
  • The editor opens and your project files are visible in the sidebar file tree.
  • A New project starts as a private browser-backed project.
  • Open folder opens the selected folder as a private folder-backed project and loads files.
  • You can open a file and save an edit without import/open errors.
  • Open folder is unavailable
  • Use Import files and continue in private browser-backed storage. Then review Private/Published and backing constraints in Storage and privacy.
  • The new project opens but no files appear
  • Re-open the project and verify the selected preset or folder import completed in File workspace.
  • A local folder does not open after selection
  • Retry from Open from computer and verify browser support for File System Access in Sync and offline.
