Get help from the workspace agent

Uses

Prerequisites

• Enable at least one AI model in model settings.
• Open a project file so the agent has relevant context.

Steps

1. Open the right sidebar and choose AI Chat.
2. Pick a model from the model selector in the chat input.
3. Enter your prompt with a concrete task.
4. Attach files or images when needed.
5. Review the response and any proposed edits.
6. Continue with follow-up prompts until you get the result you need.

Verification

• Responses appear in the chat timeline for each prompt.
• The selected model stays visible in the selector for subsequent messages.
• The agent uses your current workspace context and attachments in replies.

If Something Goes Wrong

• No response or execution stalls
• Use stop/retry and check connection state in Workspace agent.
• Cannot send prompt
• Verify a model is enabled and selected, then retry.
• Assistant cannot perform file actions
• Confirm selected provider mode supports tool actions (not chat-only external mode).
• Attachments fail
• Reattach supported files and retry with smaller or fewer files if needed.
