- Use a shared project with collaborators already invited.
- Confirm your role allows editing.
- Open the shared project and confirm collaborators in Sharing and permissions.
- Watch the collaboration status indicator in the status bar and wait for a healthy state such as Synced or Connected.
- Start editing while collaborators are online.
- Coordinate with inline comments when needed.
- If status shifts to Connecting or Offline, pause high-risk concurrent edits and wait for reconnect.
- If the file changed outside your active editor state, choose Keep mine or Load external in the external-change banner before continuing.
- Confirm collaborators can see your latest edits.
- Collaboration indicator stays healthy during editing.
- Edits and comments propagate between collaborators without manual reload.
- View-only users are clearly marked and cannot edit.
- Status is stuck on Connecting…
- Reconnect/open project again using checks in Real-time collaboration.
- You can view but not edit
- Verify your role in Sharing and permissions.
- Sync diverges between collaborators
- Wait for sync to settle, then refresh the project session if necessary.
- Access is suddenly revoked
- Stop editing and recheck project access; the owner may have removed your membership.
